Our story goes back to 2006, when we began life as a UK distributor for GPS giants Garmin. The partnership was extremely successful, and in a highly competitive environment, we helped Garmin achieve substantial sales growth and extend their share of the UK market.
The success of our association with Garmin – which continues today, gave us a solid base from which to expand our vendor portfolio, and we quickly secured distribution contracts with other leading brands – in parallel developing strong relationships with a broad base of customers.
Since then, Thames Distribution has gone from strength to strength, enjoying significant growth year on year, and today our operations encompass the UK and Benelux, with centrally positioned warehouse facilities in both regions. Focusing exclusively on exciting and innovative new products, we are working with an impressive portfolio of established and emerging product vendors, and with major retail and B2B customers.
Our approach differs fundamentally from other distributors in that we’re committed to work in genuine partnership with our vendors and our customers, adding real value to both parties. Key to this is Thames 360, our own specialist marketing agency which benefits our vendors by supporting them with strategic marketing, and our customers by assuring them that they’re buying into a solution – not just another product.

Peter joined Thames in 2010 following 12 years with BT where he gained a wealth of commercial and corporate knowledge and experience.
